“Dancing to Video” is the debut album by the band “Biokonstruktor”. It is one of the most striking examples of the Soviet electronic scene of the 1980s, featuring a textured blend of synthesizer pop, new wave, and techno‑pop elements, combined with lyrics reflecting the era of change and fascination with new technologies. Today, “Biokonstruktor”’s debut recording is considered a gem of domestic electronic music and is of great interest to collectors and fans of Soviet synth‑pop.

The latest reissue by Maschina Records is timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the album. In the catalog of the publishing house “Dances by Video,” the album will be released on classic black and limited transparent vinyl. The record will include 10 tracks, including the bonus remix “Biokonstruktor, Continuation” from 2018.
