This album is the fruit of the joint work of Joanna Stingray and the patriarch of Russian rock Boris Grebenshchikov. The English lyrics were written by them together, the music for most of the new songs was also written together, and Joanna recorded them already in the USA, at a studio in Malibu. The professionally produced recording, stylistically close to the material of Kate Bush and Cyndi Lauper, was released in the best traditions of romantic post-punk and new wave. The record was supposed to see the light back in 1985, but for a number of reasons the recordings were not published and were kept in the singer's archive. Some of the material was re-recorded and included in Joanna's albums in the early 90s in new arrangements. However, those same original versions from the mid-80s are much more lively and interesting both from a simple “music” and from a historical point of view. For 35 years, the sound of the album has become relevant again (fashion is cyclical, you know), and the young Stingray's overflowing energy is full of admiration.
