Music publishing house Maschina Records presents Joana Stingray's second archival album Surfin' on the red wave (The original recordings 1985-1987) The album includes archival recordings of the singer made between 1985 and 1987 in the USA. The album consists of English versions of songs by Aquarium, Kino, Igry and Alice, which were arranged and recorded with the participation of American session musicians at a studio in Malibu. Joanna wrote English lyrics to the music of her friends, Soviet rock musicians. Often these texts were not a literal translation of the Russian originals and had a different meaning. These recordings were not widely distributed and for a long time remained unpublished in the singer's archive. The mass listener knew only a cover duet for the classics by Cher (I Got You Babe), recorded in a duet with BG and received a video incarnation. The singer returned to the recordings themselves only decades later, first releasing a version of the KINO group's song "Love is not a joke." All recordings from the singer's archive were transferred to St. Petersburg, where they were carefully restored at Maschina Studio in the winter of 2021-2022 by sound engineer Maxim Kondrashov. In support of the new release, the singer shot two new video clips.
