«System Shock (The Lost Album 1999)» captures Brooklyn Bounce during the hard, high-energy phase of late-1990s German club music. Although the longplay was planned for 1999, its official release followed later, preserving tracks such as “Canda!”, “Funk U”, “Tiempo de la Luna” and “Contact” for fans of hard trance, techno and Eurodance.

The 2024 2CD Deluxe Expanded Edition presents the album programme on the first disc and extends it with additional tracks, single edits and remixes on the second. Versions by DJ Jean, Hampenberg, Mellow Trax and Marino Stephano broaden the release beyond the original running order and show how the material worked across different club formats.
